Did you know that RVSD repairs/replaces service lines in most cases if you have a leak? The District is responsible for all water main breaks but in most systems or municipalities the property owner is responsible for service line leaks from the water main to the curb stop. Service line repair costs can be thousands of dollars with the average cost between $2,000 and $5,000.
RVSD is very unique because we do offer service line replacement at no cost to the property owner. This service is a huge benefit to our customers as it can save on costly repairs and the stress of a leaking service line. In addition, this service also benefits the district and our entire customer base because as more leaks are repaired, even the very minimal leaks, it keeps water loss down for the system and keeps productions costs lower which ultimately keeps cost down for all customers.
